Camping Activities that Kids will love 2019

One of the most popular recreational activities in the world is camping. There is nothing quite like heading out into the great outdoors to really feel connected to nature. If you are thinking about going camping, use the following advice to make your next camping trip more fun and enjoyable.

In this article, we will be sharing you the camping activities that kids will love for 2019. Some of us while we go camping, we made sure we always bring stuff for the kids not necessarily toys but fun things for them to do while adults are doing other stuff like cooking or if you are not doing any camping activity on site.

Swimming

Try to camp near water, where you can also enjoy swimming. While camping, you might really miss the luxury of showering. When swimming, you will feel refreshed and cleaner. Always make sure that the area or the swimming hole is safe for the young ones and be sure to always on the lookout. If you use some biodegradable soap, you can get just as clean as you would at home.

Biking

Campsite usually has long trails so it will be more fun for kids to go biking. It is also a fun activity for adults as well. Be sure to prepare a first aid tool kit and a map. Navigation is the key when it comes to camping. It is important to know where you are, and how to get back to civilization if you become lost. Always bring a map of the area, and a compass to help you. You can also use outdoor GPS that will give you navigation information.

Campfire

With camping, comes the campfire. Make sure your campfire is in an open space and far enough away from brush or trees so you don’t run the risk of a stray spark catching them on fire. Surround the fire with stones to help keep it contained. Some parents might feel that campfires are not safe for kids but they do actually love it. Have them pick up some small twigs for firewood later on. Let them feel that they are needed and they are part of the camping activities so it will leave memories on their mind of the camping adventure that they’ve had when they grow up.

When collecting wood for a campfire, focus on three different sizes: the finger-size wood, that will catch fire right away, the arm-size wood that will keep it going, and the leg-size wood that will allow you to keep the fire going for a long time. Getting different sizes of wood helps you to start the fire and keep it going.

Scavenger Hunt

Kids love to watch videos while on their iPad or TV and will surely enjoy imitating the adventure that they have seen on the movies. Kids would like to portray their favorite characters in the movie and would emulate their personality while hunting. Finding an item with riddles would add excitement not for just kids but for adults and win a prize in the end.

Fishing

Teaching kids how to fish is not a walk in a ballpark. Not all of them are inclined to fish but once they learn, I am sure they will love and enjoy it. Fishing is usually a past time for adults but introducing your kids to fishing is not just trying to catch food for dinner but a great activity to bond together with them.
